Palu Macan
Macan (mah-chahn), meaning 'Tiger' in Balinese, is an exciting new evolution of the Palu collection. In Japan, the Tiger is associated with the samurai, a caste of aristocratic warriors. Throughout East Asia, the Tiger is symbolic of courage, passion and triumph over the impossible.
The hand-hammered Palu surface registers the impact of the hammer, the metalsmith's primary tool. The tiger stripes are delicately carved chain motif, or directly hammered into the silver. Macan's distinctive Kabuki eyes are a tribute to its Japanese tradition.
Palu Macan Lava collection features a 'lava' of pavé-set colored gemstones in sultry tone-related hues. Tiger stripes are rendered in Black Sapphires. |
