Energy is part of what makes Alishan's creations thoroughly modern. Different diamond settings-channel, bezel, pave'-may well be found in the same ring, alternating with the patterns of gold and creating a sense of movement.

Alishan came to the United States from Armenia to settle in Los Angeles, where he started experimenting with goldsmithing-an art he taught himself-and created the "Alishan look".
